OSM Partners is delighted to announce that the firm has achieved
ISO 27001 certification for the second consecutive year.
The ISO 27001 certification is the recognised international
standard for information security management. It provides a best practice
framework that helps organisations to proactively manage and mitigate the risks
of data management, protecting against information threats and vulnerabilities
and safeguarding client information. It provides a set of standardised
requirements for an information security management system (ISMS) which ensures
that the highest standard of controls are in place to address confidentiality,
integrity and availability of information on customers, continual asset
protection, IT governance and legal compliance.
Commenting on the announcement, Richard O’Sullivan, partner, OSM
Partners, said, “Securing ISO certification demonstrates our innovative
approach to a serious data security threat, and our timely and comprehensive
response to identifying and managing this risk to our own business and to our
clients.
“With the rise in data security and cyber threats, we set the
objective as a firm to establish a cutting edge IT system with all necessary
security and encryptions to face and address these threats. We have invested
considerable resources and the achievement of the ISO 27001 certification in
2016 and, more importantly, the retention of this certification through
subsequent independent audits, verifies that our systems are robust.
“As our debt recovery department handle significant volumes of data for clients, the ISO 27001 certification is in line with our strategy of delivering best in class legal services to our clients. It demonstrates to our clients our keen awareness and understanding of cyber security risks and the steps we take to mitigate such risks. It also verifies the strength of our systems and processes, and underpins client confidentiality.”
