At OSM Partners we fully believe in the importance and value of the work carried out by community, voluntary and charitable (“CVC") organisations throughout the country.
We have an established corporate responsibility programme, and actively encourage our staff to get involved. As a result our team has extensive experience providing legal advice and support to local, national and international CVC organisations in areas such as youth work, sport and mental health.
Members of our team hold governance and oversight roles on national and international CVC organisations and we are an Associate Member of The Wheel, fully subscribing to their core values.
In addition, we recognise the importance of Free Legal Aid Centres ("FLAC”), encouraging members of our teams to volunteer their time to support this cause.
Our commitment to pro bono work is an important part of our CSR programme, with recent initiatives including:
- Advising the national branch of an international CVC organisation on a full revision of its corporate governance structure;
- Advising a not for profit community organisation on a revised Trustee Agreement and all ancillary documentation;
- Acting for a community sporting organisation in a recent property acquisition, including the funding arrangements for the development of a substantial indoor and all-weather sports facilities; and
- Acting for a community sporting organisation in the securing of grant aid to assist in the development of recreational facilities for use by the wider community.
Our active role in supporting local communities is further visible through our support of youth sport activities, includingsponsorship of local sports team Newbridge RFC under 18 team.
On that note it is with great pride to wish Newbridge RFC the best of luck in the U18 Leinster League Division 2 Semi Final this coming Sunday 18 March 2018.
