We wish to notify clients that we have been authorised by the Legal Services Regulatory Authority to operate as OSM Partners LLP (the “Firm”), a limited liability partnership under the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 (the “Act”), with effect from 26 April 2021.
From that date, as set out in Section 123 of the Act (and subject to the exceptions listed therein), a Partner in the Firm has no personal liability for any debts, liabilities, or obligations which are incurred for the purpose of carrying on the business of the Firm (whether these are liabilities of the Firm, of any Partner, or of any employee, agent, or representative of the Firm), however such liability may arise. This limitation of liability only relates to the personal liability of the Partners and does not prevent or restrict the enforcement against the property of the Firm of any debt, liability, or obligation.
The Partnership Act 1890 shall continue to apply to the Firm as a limited liability partnership to the extent that it is not inconsistent with Chapter 3 of Part 8 of the Act.
All correspondence and invoices issued after 26 April 2021 will be in the name of OSM Partners LLP.
