Any Creditor who holds a Judgment against a property owner can convert that Judgement into what’s known as a Judgment Mortgage over the Property of the debtor. However, issues arise where co-owned properties are concerned.

On the 9 February 2022, Minister for the Environment, Climate, and Communications Eamon Ryan signed into law, legislation which would permit electronic signatures on documents which “create, acquire, dispose, or register” an interest in registered land.

From 4 April 2022, all landlords are required to register their tenancies annually with the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB).
